Winner of 3 Good Design Awards

Lensen Toppoint (the Netherlands) wins three 2016 GOOD DESIGN Awards! For the ‘Flow’ thermo drinking bottle series, the ‘Sienna’ writing instrument series and the ‘Evolution’ writing instrument series. All designed by Volkmar Rommel.

GOOD DESIGN Awards

Good design is presented by The Chicago Athenaeum, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies as the foremost program that honor and recognizes the best design talent and the best manufacturing worldwide.
The emphasis of the GOOD DESIGN program is on quality design of the highest form, function, and aesthetics a standard beyond ordinary consumer products and graphics.
Out of several thousand submissions from leading manufacturers and design firms around the world, we are very proud to receive these awards for three of our Designed by Toppoint series.


Winning products

All the award winning products are designed by rommel industrial design and manufactured by Lensen Toppoint.

‘Flow’ thermo drinking bottles
The thermo bottles have an innovating construction with a grip zone or handhold which serves as connecting part for screwed on bottles below and lids above. The components are mutually changeable, all parts are equipped with carefully applied, well balanced roundings, to avoid debris and to allow easy cleaning for hygienic use. Materials are dishwasher proofed, nontoxic, highly durable and recyclable. Furthermore, the drinks in these thermo bottles with double-walled vacuum insulated stainless steel will stay hot for a long time.

‘Sienna’ writing instruments
The different writing tips of the Sienna line fit on several shafts. The top part (with clip) works either as a push-on cap or as functioning part at twist pens, to lower production costs and to enhance quality. Many versions are possible like a ballpen, pencil, stylus, with rubber grip zone, with spring mounted wide opening metal clip and in several finishings available.

‘Evolution’ writing instruments
Comes with different writing tips to fit on several shafts. The upper half (with clip) has a spring mounted wide opening metal clip and can work as a push-on cap or as functioning part at twist pens. Available in several finishings as a fountain pen with cap, inkliner with cap and as a ballpen.

Submissions
Submissions to the program are judged by a jury of distinguished design professionals and leading industry specialists and design press on criteria for the highest aesthetic in terms of innovative design, new technologies, form, materials, construction, concept, function, utility, and energy efficiency, and sensitivity to the environment.
